Peloton Interactive Inc. earnings report is expected to be interesting. They will report on 09/10/2020 after market close. Peloton’s earnings report comes in the same week that Lululemon and American Eagle Outfitters is set to announce their earnings report.

Peloton Finding its Stride

Peloton is coming off a strong week of gains even though the market experiencing a pullback. They posted a 10% gain for the week and is up 85% over the last 3 months. One would think that the earnings report should show strong numbers because of their strong gains and that’s exactly what investors are pricing in.

One thing that one has to be considering with earnings reports these days is how COVID might have affected revenue and future operations at the company. Peloton is in a very interesting marketplace because it centers on at-home fitness. Ever since COVID hit, at-home exercising has seen a huge increase in popularity because of all the gym closures that the nation experienced.

Peloton’s Earnings Report Preview

During Peloton’s earnings report, they are expected to announce a new treadmill and a high-end bike. This is a very smart play and it couldn’t come at a better time. Peloton is, arguably, at the top of the at-home fitness market. With these new products, they are only expected to gain a higher market share. Each product is also expected to increase their revenue for the subscription workout programs they have.

Even though, they have experienced huge gains over recent times, I expect Peloton’s earnings report to drive their stock price even higher. I don’t think that the at-home fitness fad is going away anytime soon either. If anything, I expect this sector to grow rapidly. People seem to be realizing that investments in home gyms make more sense than long-term commitments at gyms.

We do believe that this opportunity is just as strong as the American Eagle Outfitters’ opportunity.
