CHARGE: The British Company Giving EVs Style

0

We’ve all had that point in our lives where we wanted a classic Mustang. Whether you saw one on the road or in some action movie, a classic Mustang is a timeless car that will always be easy on the eyes. But one thing to me that has stopped me from getting a classic Mustang is the maintenance.

Gas vs Electric

Gas cars, especially older cars, will always require more maintenance than EVs. That was actually the main reason for me not getting a gas car. I hated having to take it in for oil changes or all the weird sounds it would make every now and again.

EVs are great but have never been easy on the eyes. When I think of an EV, I immediately think of a Toyota Pruis. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great for saving money on gas but at what cost? Tesla is doing a great job at making EVs attractive but they are overly embracing the ‘futuristic’ theme.

CHARGE: British Innovator

CHARGE is making the best of both worlds. They are taking the body of the classic Mustang and putting in an electric engine. Honestly, we could really stop there because what more would you need to know, right? But we’ll tell you more about it anyways.

CHARGE is a company based in London, England. The reimagined Mustang will have the capability of traveling 200 miles on a single charge. Not only that, it will be able to hit 60 MPH in under 4 seconds so you don’t sacrifice any of the Mustang muscle that many of us are accustomed to.

The interior is completely redesigned and is based on the interior of the Tesla Model S. So you get the traditional and classic feel on the exterior but then you get the futuristic and modern feel in the interior.

Sorry we saved the bad news for last but there will only be 499 Mustangs built and start at 300,000 pounds which equates to about $395,000. Definitely out of budget for me, but kudus for those of you who can!
