Best Disney Movies with Irregular Choice Heels

Since we can’t go to Disneyland because of COVID, I’m taking a closer look at the movies that made Disneyland the iconic park it is today. I recently stumbled upon an article that delved into a collaboration between Disney and Irregular Choice. The heels from that collaboration were vibrant and intricate just as expected. And that got me thinking, why not rank the movies that they are based on? So that’s how I ended up here writing this article.

These rankings are only for the movies that were a part of the Disney x Irregular Choice collaboration so do not go crazy when you don’t see Tangled on the rankings (Tangled is definitely a top 5 for all-time Disney movie ranks). Without further ado, let’s get these Disney movie rankings started!

Disney Movie
Number #5

Dumbo
Dumbo

Starting off the rankings at #5 we have Dumbo! One of the very first movies from Disney Animations, coming out in 1941. The runtime on the movie sits around 1 hour so there are no filler minutes in this one. At the time this article was written, Rotten Tomatoes has rated Dumbo at 98% Certified Fresh.

Disney Movie
Number #4

Mulan

Next we have Mulan at #4. This movie is definitely on the younger side compared to other Disney classics but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s a great movie. Mulan came out in 1998 and the live version remake is scheduled to come out on September 4, 2020 on Disney+. We’re not sure how the remake is going to be but we do know that there will be no musical cues and Mushu was also not included in this new script.

Disney Movie
Number #3

Bambi
Bambi

At #3 we chose Bambi. This one hits hard with nostalgia. Bambi was my dad’s and I favorite movie as I grew up. It came out on August 21, 1942, making it one year older than the Dumbo release. The runtime on this movie also sits around 1 hour so you don’t get too much filler minutes. As of August 2020, Rotten Tomatoes has rated this movie at 90% Certified Fresh.

Disney Movie
Number #2

Toy Story
Toy Story

The hardest part of this list was deciding which movie would take the #1 spot. But I had to choose one and at #2 I went with the difficult choice of giving that spot to Toy Story. Arguably one of the best franchises in the Disney catalog (Monsters Inc. is at the same level), Toy Story is a classic that is just as familiar to the younger generation as it is to the older generation. And with Rotten Tomatoes rating it a solid 100% Certified Fresh, there is no question that this movie warrants a high ranking.

Disney Movie
Number #1

And at #1 I decided with The Little Mermaid. This movie is not really old enough to be considered one of the first great films and not really new enough to be considered a recent marvel. Honestly, I think what really made this movie #1 for me was the music. ‘Part of Your World’ is arguably the best song to come out of any Disney movie and that is definitely saying something when you realize just how deep the Disney catalogue is.

And to add to that, ‘Under the Sea’ is also a great little song that gets lost behind the magnificence of ‘Part of Your World’. All in all, it has a wonderful unique little plot and warrants the #1 spot. And if you want to argue then that is also understandable because even I acknowledge that I might have gotten this wrong.
