Nike is continuing their ‘This is Trash’ collection by releasing another colorway dawning the Space Hippie 01 and Space Hippie 04 silhouette. And if the other ‘This is Trash’ releases were any indications of how this release will go then these will definitely be hard to buy.

The Space Hippie 01 is made of at least 50% recycled material which will put a smile on most environmental activists. The sock-like upper guarantees a comfortable feel and the Crater Foam midsole ensures responsiveness. Just as many of the previous Space Hippie releases, this new colorway, ‘Wheat White’, will still feature a predominately grey body with hints of orange throughout.

The Space Hippie 04 is made of at least 25% recycled which won’t be winning any environmental awards but the effort is appreciated. Again, the Space Hippie 04 also features a sock-like upper, just of the other Space Hippie sneakers do. But, instead of keeping with the norm, this new release, ‘Lemon Venom’, actually has some flare to it. The ‘Lemon Venom’ strays from the pack and sports a salmon pink color which is definitely eye-catching.
What to expect on release day
Both of these sneakers are expected to sell out immediately so we wish you all the best in your SNKRS app journey. I have been unlucky on every single Space Hippie release so far but that won’t stop me from trying this time around.
At a $130 price point, why not try for them? You also get the satisfaction of knowing that the sneakers aren’t terrible for the environment.
